Beth Ciotta's Cupcake Lovers series are exactly what the name implies: delicious, fun, and often with a great new ingredient. And as it is difficult to stop after eating just one cupcake, it is hard to stop after reading just one book in the series. So after reading FOOL FOR LOVE, I couldn't wait for the second book, THE TROUBLE WITH LOVE. While I expected it to be fun, I didn't expect it to turn out even better than the first book. But apparently, Ms. Ciotta's recipe for delicious romance gets better and better.

Jayce and Rocky's story is great, with lots of chemistry, humor, and a new twist of mystery. The dash of danger was a surprise in Cupcakes' frosting, but it made the book even more interesting for me. And of course I loved the return of a great cast of characters and small town charm. I wish Sugar Creek was real and I could visit it!

Rocky is fiercely independent, and it takes Jayce's patience and determination to win her over. In turn, as Jayce is a tortured hero, I liked reading how Rocky (and Monroe family) helped him heal.

When I started reading the part about Luke and one rather unusual heroine, I couldn't wait to find out if their story was going to be next. So I looked at the end of the book, hoping for an excerpt from ANYTHING BUT LOVE. Well, all I can say, I wish the third book were already published because the next journey to Sugar Creek is promising to be amazing.

Love her books. This one was very enjoyable. Really like the characters. This was a nice addition to a great series.
Beth Ciotta has another great love story. It's great that Jayce and Rocky have a history but not the usual boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. An unexpected expected trip gives Rocky a chance to see Jayce in a new light and give their relationship a second chance. The sparks are flying throughout the entire book.
I read these on my kindle and now have bought the series in paperback to give to a friend for her birthday. The books are fun, romantic and really captivating. They give you a lift and a sense of small town success and hope. Read these for yourself and you won't be able to put them down or order the next one soon enough.
The Trouble With Love is the second book in the Cupcake Lovers series and just as good as the first! Another laugh out loud sexy read from Ms. Ciotta. She almost makes me wish for a book with grandma Daisy as the main character just because she is so hysterical as the main secondary character in this series! Wish I was part of the Monroe clan!
I loved Beth Ciotta's first Cupcake Lovers romance, and this one was even better! The main characters, Rocky (Rochelle) and Jayce are dynamic and have great chemistry. There are plenty of unique and zany secondary characters to round out the story. The book is suspenseful and fun with plenty of humor. I also loved the dog! Beth Ciotta spins an enchanting tale that will leave you as satisfied as a yummy cupcake can!
Beth Ciotta is a great author. She writes light-hearted novels that will put you in a good mood. Cupcake Lovers is my favorite series of hers. It's a fun, cute, sometimes sexy novel. The perfect book for romance lovers. The perfect novel to whisk you away from a crappy day. I highly recommend her novels to someone looking for a cute, quick read.
Somehow Beth Ciotta in a few hundred pages has managed to make me hungry, horny, and ready to visit this fictional town. Not only do I want to be a member of the cupcake lovers, I'm ready to sit in moose a latte and have my coffee while hanging out with Chloe and Daisy. I'm so glad that the characters got to grow in this second book of the series. When I read the teaser I was a little disappointed that the focus would be on Rocky and Jayce and not on Chloe and Dev. Well I'm happy to say that I'm no longer disappointed! Not only did I get the continuing story of Chloe and Dev, but I also got to fall in love with Rocky and Jayce. It's amazing how Beth Ciotta manages to tell us the characters back story-to really give us the full richness of who they are- but she gets it worked into the current story that is building their future. I can't wait until October 1 when the next book comes out, thank God it's soon, I'm not known for my patience!
My only complaint is that I finished this book in 3 days, and I'm sure it took longer than that to write. Not only am I ready for the next few books of the cupcake lovers, I'm ready for it to be a movie, or a mini series, or a weekly show. I'm ready to help with the casting.
