When a piece of fine art turns up among the spoils of a tobacco smuggling ring, Harvey Larson's Priority Unit is called in to investigate. It seems that quite a few valuable pieces of art have either been stolen from private collections or gone missing after what first appeared to be a routine home invasion. It appears that the perpetrators may have known exactly what they were looking for.

Posing undercover as art enthusiasts, Harvey and his wife Jennifer attend several local events in order to see if they can determine how the criminals are getting their inside information. Meanwhile, on the home front, Jennifer's morning sickness is making Harvey nervous, and the line of suitors at their door to give her younger sister Abby their undivided attention, is growing longer by the day. The last thing they need is for the subject of Jennifer's old boyfriend to come up into conversation.

Love this series!
It was nice to read a good story without a bunch of curse words.
Enjoying this series of books.,
Well written...holds your attention...."realistic" fiction.
The author must research well to make things so factual, yet interesting.
I really enjoyed the first two books in this series and bought the third without downloading a sample. I'm not sure why the author decided to write this one in the first person when the first two were not. It kind of throws the reader for a loop.
Fantastic job this series keeps reeling you in.. The storyline, emotions from the characters, everything just feel real. Like tour participating in their lives. I especially love how the author ropes Neil Daniels, Jennifer's old boyfriend into this story. Looking forward to reading Eddie's story. Great job, fantastic read
I really enjoyed 1st book in series and 2nd was pretty good. In 3rd one of the main characters, Jennifer, lacks dimension. Harvey comes across as her father not her husband. Hopefully in future books Jennifer can develop more personality and depth, as well as some independence because as it is now Harv is the dad ...and she is his obedient child. Not really the relationship I think the author is trying to get across, but thats how it reads. Anyway just my opinion. Needs more intricate plots in regard to rhe police investifations as well.
